    Hi Steven,

Your mother would like to see a posted picture of you and Robyn with the Sumpango background.

Day three on the ground and you are making a difference…that is our Grace Mission. Just as predicted things do not go according to any individual’s plan, not Chet’s, Tim’s or Kent’s….only God’s. “Therefore comfort yourselves together….” 1Thessalonians 5:11 :-) :-)

I wonder if it is significant that the Saints won?

    Thinking of you. Marg

    Hi Grace Team

I am so happy to hear of your safe arrival in Sumpango! I have thought of you each day. Yesterday would have been culture day and church day…too bad I already took that skirt back :)

Today is/was day one of work day. I can only imagine the smiles and laughter of the children. You are all amazing people! Take care…be safe and God Bless!!

When Mary told us she was going to minister to the dump community—all I could think of was wow—I am so happy and proud of all of you for making this committment and making a difference in people’s lives—living out the gospel—you are being held in prayer by Skip and I for the duration of your trip as well as for good health to you all too!!!

    God’s blessing to you all!!!!

We (Jim and I) read about and prayed for you on your last trip. Know that we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during your journey. At our church yeaterday the gospel was about the disciples dropping everything and following Jesus. And that is what all of you are doing. May God be with you on your journey.

I just talked to Chet. They arrived safely in Guatemala and had a great day. The medications were kept in Customs, but he is hopeful they will be able to get them tomorrow.

Everything went just the way we like it this morning at Grace! Seriously, only had one problem and that was the lights in the sanctuary not going on before the 8:00. Miles saved the day, however! There were 2 new families and at least 2 visiting families who said they would return at the 10:30. They both liked our church very much!
I hope all is going equally well for all of you! Our prayers were with you this a.m. and will be all week.

Missions Team – My thoughts and prayers are with you this week as you minister in Guatamala. I know there will be challenges, but the blessings will far outweigh those. I pray you stay healthy, safe, and flexible. Can’t wait to hear how things are going! God Bless each of you and your efforts!

God bless you, Mission Team! Someone close to me illustrates the significance of John 3:17: “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” There is no small task before you and yet there is no small power that goes with you! The Holy Spirit empowers you and guides you to be in this world as people of humanity – just being people to people – without judgement – sharing God’s gifts with those who have need. You have great leadership and examples to follow and each of you are remarkable not only in that you have talents from God but that you also are aware that those talents have their true value in the lifting up of your brothers and sisters.

STILL………. we all want you to keep yourselves safe and come home to us!
    Mike

What fun to see the spirit and the faith last night when you bound onto the bus!

By now you have gotten through customs, met Dr Paredes and Mission Impact folks, found your rooms and begun to breath Guatemala. I bet that Kent, Chet and Tim have a few projects for everyone. Rest well tonight, I suspect you will all bring back great pictures of the market visit tomorrow and wonderful stories of the Sumpango church expreince.

Mary–just so you know, Rick partied with us Friday night and will again tomorrow. So far he has not said it is just the way he likes it:-)

Each on of your are in my prayers. May this trip be a blessing to you and the many you touch. Marg
